Intermediary creature - Velociraptor x Nicobar Pigeon

2019. An assignment done for my studies at DigiPen Institute of Technology during my overseas semester at the Redmond campus.

Tasked to design an intermediary creature that could possibly exist in the middle of an evolution timeline, comprised of features of an extinct and extant animal. I picked the Velociraptor (extinct dinosaur) and Nicobar Pigeon (extant bird).

About 6 hours in Photoshop.

Design rationale:
- Feathered body excluding legs and face (of Nicobar Pigeon)
- Sickle-shaped claw (of Velociraptor)
- Hybrid of teeth and beak
- Back toe (of Nicobar Pigeon)
- Tail length is between that of a Velociraptor's long tail and a Nicobar Pigeon's short tail)
